Since my last post, the Lord let us hand out hundreds of tracts at Wichita's huge car show known as the Blacktop Nationals. He also let me take a quick trip to Baja for some fresh air.
The Baja trip began with an invitation to join a couple for one of their regular supply runs to missionaries at IDT about 2 hours south of Ensenada on the Pacific coast of Baja. With a week of vacation from work, I flew to California and joined them for the two-day trip south. We had a fantastic trip filled with some challenges like tire problems and a broken leaf spring on the trailer and God obviously providing help for us. Even on the side of the road in the Mexican desert with temperatures over 100 degrees (40 degrees celsius), He was with us and providing for us.
By far, the best part of the trip was visiting my family in Christ who serve in Baja. We were only at the mission base for about 36 hours so we had to move fast to unload the trailer, distribute everything and have some visiting time, too. In His sovereignty, the Lord provided opportunities to serve Him by serving the poor, He provided fantastic food and fellowship, and even some laughs. So, it all boils down to this: 6 days of travel for a day and a half with my family at IDT. Totally worth it!
Tonight, I'm planning to hit the streets of Old Town here in Wichita again. It is not God's will that anyone perish. His word is going out and it will not return void. Please join me in asking the Lord to soften hearts, open spiritual eyes, and save. God bless you!
