Due to the cold Kansas winter and the near impossibility of evading security in the malls, our little evangelism group is planning a different strategy. I call it "drive by" evangelism, but really it's more like drive - stop - drive evangelism.
Here's the plan.... partners will choose a major street in Wichita and, beginning on one side of town, will drive along stopping at businesses as the Holy Spirit leads to share the gospel with anyone who may be available. Then, we will drive on to the next place and the next, etc. across town. Sounds crazy? Yeah, maybe a little, but we're casting our nets however we're able.
We've been trying to share the gospel in malls during the Christmas shopping season, but the security guards are on watch for anyone doing anything besides shopping. They also allow no groups of people to gather and talk (to prevent gang activity). Going to the malls has been like trying to rob a police station. Not likely to be successful.
Please join me in prayer that the Lord will make us sensitive to His leading and lead us to those who are hungry to hear the Good News. I'll also take some warm weather so that people will be out on the streets on public property if the Lord is willing to provide it. ;-)
Thank you for reading and praying! God bless you!
